The Kew Book of Embroidered Flowers by Trish Burr
I never use the word exquisite lightly. This book is exquisite.
The projects inside perfectly showcase how you can paint a picture through embroidery and botanicals are the ideal muse.
Don't be put off if you are new to embroidery. Each project comes with a set of iron-on transfers so that you have easy stitch guidelines. The projects are split into simple, intermediate and advanced categories so you can start where you feel comfortable and build your skills as you go.
Here is what you can expect if you buy this book:
- Hardback encasing a paperback with elastic place marker
- 4 simple, 4 intermediate and 3 advanced projects
- Techniques sections
- DMC thread lists for all projects
- Some projects also require Anchor or AVAS Soie D'Alger Silk threads
- Section on thread substitutes
You may also be interested in buying embroidery hoops and wool thread to complete your projects or the Japanese embroidery books available.

Postage and Packaging
You can read all about P&P here.
The P&P costs applied are very transparent. No additional costs are added on, you simply pay for the cost of packaging and the cost of postage. I don't offer free P&P because what that usually means is that the cost of P&P has been added to the cost of goods. I think it is better to assume that my customers aren't daft and would rather have transparent P&P costs than the pretence of 'Free P&P' with potentially inflated prices on the items that they are buying.
