Wooden crochet hooks - hand-whittled in the UK
Product
Each of these hooks is a one-off, so if you like what you see, get it quickly. There are 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm and 7mm versions.
They are hand whittled by Mark McDowall (@mark.mcdowall) at his home in Cambridgeshire. Mark gathers branches local to him and assesses them for crochet hook potential.
Once carved, he sands the wood down, rubs it with wire wool and oils it. Once the oil has dried they he smoothes with wire wool again, then finishes it off with a coat of wax - which smells amazing in the warmth of your hand!
Crochet hook dimensions
Each hook has a different dimension but they range from 11.9cm in length (hook 2) to 14.1cm (hook 8)
Product materials, sourcing and PoM Rating
This product was hand-whittled in England, using woods local to Mark's home and work.
Postage and Packaging
You can read all about P&P here.
The P&P costs applied are very transparent. No additional costs are added on, you simply pay for the cost of packaging and the cost of postage. I don't offer free P&P because what that usually means is that the cost of P&P has been added to the cost of goods. I think it is better to assume that my customers aren't daft and would rather have transparent P&P costs than the pretence of 'Free P&P' with inflated prices on the items that they are buying.
