Yumiko Higuchi is an embroidery artist.  She combines beautiful floral and everyday motifs with different materials and stitch types.  I carry all of her current seven books because they all bring something different to the table.

1 - Zakka embroidery - 189 pages of motifs and project ideas. 120 one-colour motifs with accompanying project ideas, 120 two-colour motifs with accompanying project ideas and sections on tools, threads, material, basic stitches, tips and techniques.  15cm x 21cm x 1.2cm.

2 - Simply Stitched - 80 pages with 19 motifs (most of accompanying project ideas) designed for wool and cotton threads.  Sections on materials, tools, techniques, project instructions and stitch guides.  26cm x 22cm x 0.6cm.

3 -  Simply Stitched with Applique - 112 pages with 30 motifs designed for linen, cotton and wool scraps.  Sections on materials, tools, how to applique, stitch guide and project instructions.  26cm x 21.5cm x 0.8cm.

4 - A Year of Embroidery - 92 pages full of 38 different motifs split down into month by month projects.  Sections on tools, materials, basic stitches and embroidery fundamentals, how to make a panel and patterns.  25cm x 19.5cm x 0.6cm.

5 - Embroidered Botanicals - 95 pages with 35 motifs (with many shown as projects) split into thread type (tapestry wool, crewel wool thread, cotton floss, metallic thread and pearl cotton thread).  Sections on tools, materials, basic stitches and embroidery fundamentals and how to make a brooch.  25cm x 19cm x 0.6cm.

6 - Simply Stitched with Embroidery - 102 pages with 20 different motif/purse designs.  Though the book is based around making embroidery purses, there is nothing stopping you from using the motifs to embellish anything you desire.  the book also has full-size templates (paper file at the back of the book) and instructions on how to make up a purse.  26cm x 21cm x 0.8cm.

Clear step by step instructions are given, with good photos, making all of these books suitable for beginners and beyond.

Postage and Packaging

You can read all about P&P here.

The P&P costs applied are very transparent.  No additional costs are added on, you simply pay for the cost of packaging and the cost of postage.  I don't offer free P&P because what that usually means is that the cost of P&P has been added to the cost of goods.  I think it is better to assume that my customers aren't daft and would rather have transparent P&P costs than the pretence of 'Free P&P' with potentially inflated prices on the items that they are buying.
