Here is my round-up of things that I have finished in August 2020!
I'm no longer adding project notes to Ravelry. Instead, you will see links to Evernote where I now document which patterns and yarns I have used, changes made etc.
This blog post is intended as a quick highlights section, so follow the links if you need more details.
Stormy Rainbow Blanket
My crochet design (Fay DH Designs) for Issue 127 of Inside Crochet. It uses 12 x 20g mini skeins and 3 x 100g skeins of 4 ply (400m.437 yds per 100g). Evernote link.
RiverKnits has kits made up for the yarn.
It uses intarsia crochet as a technique and Herringbone to give a nice flat fabric.
Hanging Storage
Created as part of a review of Cove by Blacker Yarns (link to review), I wanted to crochet up some things that were useful. I made two of these storage solutions using the 4 ply Cove and used the rest to make a clutch purse to hold me design kit in. All items also had Cove Dorset Button hanging loops made. Evernote link.
The pattern came from Inside Crochet, Issue 125 and the design is by Lucy Djevdet. I changed the sizes to suit the stamps and business cards I wanted to store.
The pattern is a great stash buster; you could use almost any yarn.
Croix Coasters
These are from the Modern Crochet Book by Debrosse. I made them as part of the same Blacker Yarns review.
Cove 4 ply was used for the Dorset Button.
A really simple make, great for using up stash.
Textures Tee V2
This was a really quick summer top make. I used up some deep stash linen. The pattern is very versatile and easy to make it fit your body. It comes with additional options for people with larger busts.
I'll try to add some photos of me in it shortly.
