Blocking pins three sizes available (100 per pack) - Made in The Czech Republic

£5.00

Product

These are fantastic blocking pins.  Made from black enamelled steel, they are great for blocking out all of your projects.  You get a choice of three sizes, depending on what it is you want to block.  Each pack contains approximately 100 (I am yet to find a pack that doesn't have 100 pins in it) and I generally use 200 pins to block out a large shawl.

I have tested these pins thoroughly and they have shown no signs of rusting or bending (if used for the right weight of yarn) and although they have been enamelled, this does not transfer onto your project in any way.

I have also pulled together 'Wet Blocking your Woolens: A Comprehensive Guide' which can be found on the KNIT IT - HOOK IT - CRAFT IT YouTube Channel.

Pin dimensions and suggested yarn weight use:

Size 2 - 38 x 0.45mm great for use on lace weight up to 4 ply projects.  These pins are so nice and thin that they will not leave a visible hole in your project.

Size 4 - 38 x 0.55mm use for 4ply up to aran weight or above.  This is a great all-round blocking pin but if you wanted to aggressively block a chunky/bulky weight project, move up to the Size 7 pin.

Size 7 - 52 x 0.65mm use for bulky/chunky weight yarns and anything that you want to aggressively block.  These are really sturdy pins and are therefore also great for blocking out less forgiving yarns like cotton.

Postage and Packaging

You can read all about P&P here.

The P&P costs applied are very transparent.  No additional costs are added on, you simply pay for the cost of packaging and the cost of postage.  I don't offer free P&P because what that usually means is that the cost of P&P has been added to the cost of goods.  I think it is better to assume that my customers aren't daft and would rather have transparent P&P costs than the pretence of 'Free P&P' with potentially inflated prices on the items that they are buying.
